| Student Work from Acrylic Class … so proud of them! |
This time last year I was wrapping up a life changing week in Bluffton. This year, October was all about teaching. We began the month with a visit to Scott’s parents in Baton Rouge. They are settled into their new living situation and seem to be okay. There are a lot of challenges (simple things like buckling a seat belt!), but they are in the best place to be cared for right now. We will continue to take things as they come and deal with whatever comes our way.

| Art from the hotel in BR |
Back to art … this week I’ll hit 1,000 daily drawings. Crazy. I didn’t know how long the streak would last and I never set a goal. Somehow it just became a daily ritual, and I think that’s pretty cool. I’ve been spending a lot less time on social media, too - initially it was because I was busy, but then it just became less and less important. Again, pretty cool. It’s amazing how much better I feel about life in general as a result :)
Unfortunately I have not had a chance to work on paintings for myself this month. Hopefully that will change in November. So instead of showing you my work, here are some photos from classes.
Still working with my trainer at the club. Zoe has done wonders for me. Worth every stinkin’ penny. She pushes me beyond what I think I’m capable of doing. Today I bench pressed 80 pounds, a new record. Did I think I could ever do that? NO. Did Zoe think I could? YES. I hate to end the training with her, but it’s time to do this on my own.
NOVEMBER
We have a charcoal workshop and a pastel workshop at Acworth in November, and then I’ll finally get a break. I’m WORN OUT. But the big news for November will be turning 60, and we have a pretty phenomenal trip planned to celebrate that. Come back in a few weeks and read all about it. (I know, I know, nobody cares!)
OTIS WINSTON and LOUIS
The boys are good. Otis has been a little more social. Last night we had all 5 of us in bed! Lou is still bonkers and Winnie Bo Benny is still the loviest love of all loves. His fur is so soft and his eyes are so innocent. All I want to do is squeeze that boy.
