Fall 2018 Art

Some of the things I painted and drew in the fall of 2018 ... as you'll see I was on a bit of a shoe kick.

One of the suggestions David Boyd gave us was to get a toned drawing pad for sketching. The pre-toned paper (gray or brown) represents a middle value, so all you need to do is find your lightest lights and darkest darks. It really only takes 3 values to make something start to look believable. As you can see in the zebra and leopard drawings, I'm already honing on something. Pretty awesome tip!
