Beauty and the Beast
One of my all time favorite images is this photograph by Slim Aarons:
So I decided to paint it! Here's the progression --
Phase 1:
As of October 24:
Had to wipe out her eye and start over ...
As of October 31:
Phillip helped me fix her eyes, lighten up all of those dark lines around her eyes, even things out a bit
So hard to paint hair!!!
November 7: at this point it's hard to see differences, but the big change below is that the tiger is getting fur. And Betty finally got some real fingers :)
November 14: again, hard to notice big changes, but she has a highlight on her lips and they've been brightened. Background has been smoothed/evened out. Tiger has more fur. We're almost home .... Hard to believe I started this on Sep 30.
