Intermediate Oils - August 2017
When I opened the classroom door, I was immediately overwhelmed by the aroma of sugar! Our instructor picked up all kinds of doughnuts - chocolate, plain, sprinkles, cupcakes and more!
I zoomed in one the chocolate sprinkles
What I learned:
To make chocolate colored paint, mix ultramarine blue, transparent earth red and a little dab of white.
To make the cake part, mix cinnabar and cad orange with a little dab of white.
Karen encouraged us to "be the doughnut" and to think of our paint as frosting. Her motivational speech that day was one of my all time favorite pep talks. And, I think it worked!
